Lauren Tokiwa

Lauren Tokiwa has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Lauren started their career as an Administrative Assistant at Royal Lepage Wolstencroft Realty in 2013. Later, they worked as a School of Business Representative at the Trinity Western University Student Association, where they organized and hosted events for the student body. In 2014, they joined Cactus Club Cafe as a Shift Leader, Server Trainer, and Server.

From 2016 to 2019, Lauren worked at Smart, Savvy + Associates, first as a Talent Research Specialist and then as a Recruitment Consultant. During this time, they managed the full-cycle recruitment process, conducted business development activities, and nurtured client and candidate relationships.

In 2019, they became a Recruiter at the Onni Group of Companies, a private real estate developer. Their responsibilities included leading the full lifecycle for employees, supporting business leaders in assessing employee performance, and refining operational efficiencies.

Most recently, Lauren has been working at Later, a social media marketing and commerce platform. Lauren started as a Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist in 2020 and has since held roles as a Talent Acquisition Lead and Manager, Talent Acquisition. Their responsibilities include hiring, facilitating onboarding programs, and collaborating on employer branding strategies.

Lauren Tokiwa completed their Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Trinity Western University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications in Diversity Recruiting and Uncovering Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Interviewing from LinkedIn in March 2021.
