Valeria Avila Guerrero

Valeria Avila Guerrero is an accomplished professional with a robust background in robotics and engineering. Currently serving as President of the Silicon Valley Chapter of #LatinaGeeks since April 2024, Valeria also holds the position of Senior Robotics Engineer at EverestLabs.AI since May 2020. In addition, ownership of Aprumo Design LLC began in January 2023. Valeria's experience includes a role as a Computer-Aided Manufacturing and Prototyping Lab Assistant at Santa Clara University, where supervision of student safety and advanced machining techniques were emphasized. Previous positions include Associate Estimator and Planner at Brightlight Welding & Manufacturing, an Informal Learning Tinkering Intern at the Exploratorium, and a Summer Intern at SCU Robotic Systems Lab. Valeria obtained a Master's degree in Robotics and Mechatronics and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University, complemented by an Associate's Degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering from Contra Costa College.
