Cristina Escobar

Cristina Escobar is a seasoned communications professional and co-founder of Latina Media, established in October 2018, aimed at improving representation of Latinas in film and television. Additionally, Cristina serves as the Director of Communications at Esperanza United, an organization dedicated to mobilizing Latin@ communities to combat gender-based violence. With a background in consulting since August 2018, Cristina Escobar Andrade Consulting focuses on bridging feminism and marketing for clients. Previously, from December 2014 to July 2018, Cristina directed communications for The Representation Project, promoting the movement to eliminate gender stereotypes, and earlier held various roles, including Director of Loveisrespect and Deputy Director at Break the Cycle, from July 2006 to July 2014. Cristina holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Spanish from Occidental College and a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Austin Community College.
