Terry Phelps has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and credit unions. Currently, Terry holds the position of Chief Operations Officer at Latino Community Credit Union, where they oversee the overall operations of the organization. Terry's early career started at Nortel Networks as a Systems Engineer/Technical Support Supervisor, where they provided support for various networks across the U.S. Their career kickstarted at AT&T as a Technical Staff Member/WAN Engineer.

Terry Phelps pursued coursework in General Studies at East Carolina University. In 2010, they obtained a certification as a Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2011, they acquired a Master Certificate in Information Security Management, Government from Villanova University. In 2013, Terry earned a certification as a Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME) from CUNA - Credit Union National Association. In 2015 to 2016, they engaged in a program on Leadership and Business Acumen (Executive Development Institute) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2020, they concluded the requirements to become a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA. Currently, Terry is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
