LEAF's purpose is to increase college enrollment and persistence among low-income students attending East San José High Schools; to support systemic reform in the education system and to benefit all low-income students and to increase funding for all schools in East San José.  We are currently comprised of four programs that prioritize academic success, parent engagement, and economic mobility for families that are experiencing systemic barriers alongside their first-generation student for the first time.

We work to serve the socioeconomically disadvantaged Latino/Hispanic students of East San Jose through our support programming:

3. Career Exploration & Discovery
4. Eastside Education Initiative

The Program Management Team at the Latino Education Advancement Foundation (LEAF) oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of LEAF's four educational programs: Center for College Success, Centro Educativo Para Padres, Career Exploration & Discovery, and Eastside Education Initiative. They ensure that each program aligns with the foundation's mission to enhance academic success, parent engagement, and economic mobility for low-income Latino/Hispanic students in East San Jose. The team manages day-to-day operations, coordinates with educators and community partners, measures program outcomes, and works to secure necessary funding.
