Ariana A. Andrade

Director Of Communications at Latino Nonprofit Accelerator

Ariana is committed to advancing inclusive and community-focused storytelling.

Prior to joining LCF, Ariana Andrade served as the Deputy Director of Digital for the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom where she managed the official Governor’s Office social media channels, coordinated crisis communications with state agencies during multiple state of emergencies, and collaborated with senior leadership on key policy rollouts. She also supported the state’s COVID-19 public awareness campaign by managing the curation of Latino-focused messaging, PSAs and a partnership with Pero Like. Prior to her work for the Governor’s Office, Ariana worked for Steven Spielberg’s non-profit USC Shoah Foundation where she served as the Education Programs Coordinator and managed operational systems and high-profile global educational programs.

Serving her community has always been at the center of Ariana’s work ethic. No matter the city, Ariana has always made time to get involved and collaborate with local leaders in their organizing efforts. Most recently, she completed La Luz’s Latino Leadership program and supported their community outreach work for the 2020 Census in Sonoma Valley.

Ariana received a Master’s Degree in Cinema and Media Studies from the USC School of Cinematic Arts and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chicana and Chicano Studies with a minor in Latin American and Iberian Studies from UC Santa Barbara.

In her free time, she enjoys watching (and rewatching) movies and TV shows, exploring used bookstores in new cities, and spending time with her two dogs, April and Rubí.
