Lourdes M. Rosado

Lourdes Rosado's work experience includes serving as the President and General Counsel at LatinoJustice PRLDEF since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Bureau Chief of the Civil Rights Bureau at the Office of the Attorney General of New York State starting from March 2016. From March 2019 to August 2021, they were the Program Director at the New York Civil Liberties Union. Lourdes also has experience as an Associate Director at the Juvenile Law Center from September 1998 to September 2015. Lourdes started their career as a Prettyman Fellow at Georgetown University Law Center from August 1996 to August 1998 and previously served as a Law Clerk at Hon. Lourdes Rosado has an extensive education history. Lourdes began their studies in 1978 at Stuyvesant H.S., where they obtained their H.S. Diploma in 1981. Lourdes then went on to Swarthmore College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from 1981 to 1985. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued an M.A. in International Affairs at Columbia University - School of International and Public Affairs from 1988 to 1990. Lourdes continued their education at New York University School of Law, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from 1992 to 1995. Lastly, they attended Georgetown University Law Center, specializing in Trial Advocacy, and earned a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from 1996 to 1998.
