David Leib is a Senior Scientist at Latus Bio since August 2022, previously serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroscience and Gene Therapy at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from July 2018 to July 2022. David completed a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of California, San Francisco, where research focused on the neurobiology of homeostasis, yielding notable findings on the motivation of animals to seek water (Leib, Zimmerman et al., Neuron 2017). Prior positions include PhD Researcher at UCSF (September 2012 - July 2018) and Research Associate at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago (July 2009 - August 2012), where investigations into long non-coding RNAs in brain development were conducted. Additionally, David contributed as an instructor for a neuroscience bootcamp, aiding incoming graduate students in their studies. David holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and German from Northwestern University.
