Jake Brereton

Jake Brereton is the Co-Founder and COO at LaunchNotes. Jake was previously the Head of Marketing for Jira Software, Jira Premium, and Jira Mobile at Atlassian. Jake was responsible for creating and executing the strategy for all new user acquisition across the Jira Software product suite, driving the lion’s share of Atlassian's 8x revenue growth over 6.5 years ($149M in FY13 to $1.2B in FY19). Jake built and scaled a 10-person marketing team that leveraged Atlassian’s unique low-touch acquisition model to deliver a 10x increase in monthly eval volume over 6.5 years. Jake also stewarded the Jira brand through Atlassian’s $4.4B IPO, one of the most successful tech IPOs of 2015. Jake drove the rebranding of JIRA and JIRA Agile as JIRA Software; designed and executed an end-to-end launch strategy and managed the largest product release in Atlassian’s history. Jake was intimately involved with the acquisition strategy and integration of three companies into the Atlassian portfolio; led the post-acquisition rebranding and relaunch of two of these companies.

Jake Brereton has a BA in Anthropology from DePauw University, and has also studied at The University of Queensland and The Miami Valley School.
