Erika Szostak

Erika Szostak has a diverse work experience across various industries. Erika started their career as an Adjunct Lecturer in English at Los Angeles Harbor College and Loyola Marymount University. Erika also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, teaching courses related to fashion and design.

Erika has also worked as a Freelance Copywriter, where they gained experience in proofreading and editing corporate e-learning modules at City & Guilds Kineo. Additionally, they worked as a Freelance standardized test item writer for Sondhi Solutions / Pearson Education Ltd, delivering the highest number of accepted items on the project.

In the field of photography, Erika has worked as a Photographer | Producer for their own business, erika szostak | photography. Erika specialized in advertising photography and provided services such as casting, sourcing crew and locations, and art direction. Erika also worked as a Wedding & Event Photographer at PhotoMadly, where they delivered high-quality work in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.

Erika's most recent role was at Laundry Service, where they held multiple positions. Erika started as a Sr. Social Media Manager responsible for managing social media content for high-profile entertainment brands under the FOXTV umbrella. Later, they took on the role of Sr Social Media Manager | SMM Team Lead, where they led a team and managed social media pages for The Simpsons and Animation Domination.

Erika Szostak completed a Master's degree in English | Creative Writing from Loyola Marymount University from 2002 to 2006. In 2005, they participated in the Prague Summer Program for Writers at Charles University, although they did not earn a degree from this program. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature, General from Indiana University Bloomington between 1993 and 1997. Erika also pursued Dphil study in Creative and Critical Writing at the University of Sussex from 2009 to 2010.
