LauraLynn is the only Children’s Hospice providing palliative care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families in Ireland. LauraLynn’s care can be delivered in our hospice, at hospital, in the community, or in the family home, depending on the child and family’s preference and the medical needs of the child.  

LauraLynn’s holistic approach to care ensures we support the whole family, allowing patients to be children and parents to have time to be a ‘Mums and Dads’ rather than full-time carers.

Separate to our children’s hospice service, we also provide a disability service to a small number of adults and children.

The Healthcare Services team at LauraLynn plays a vital role in delivering compassionate palliative care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Comprising healthcare assistants, nurses, therapists, and specialized practitioners, the team collaborates to address the holistic needs of patients, facilitating care in various settings—hospice, home, and community. They also provide bereavement support and engage families through therapeutic activities, ensuring that every child experiences joy while allowing parents to cherish meaningful moments together.
