Michael Melamed

Executive Vice President at Laurel Strategies

Michael has extensive domestic and international experience consulting leaders, businesses and organizations on the development and implementation of new initiatives, products, and ideas. Most recently, Michael worked in the World Bank’s education practice, helping to expand the reach of the Systems Approach for Better Education Results (SABER) initiative across global development and education communities. Before joining the Bank, Michael worked with the global corporate affairs team at Anheuser-Busch InBev, where he developed and launched a new, internal research assessment tool. Michael has experience working with a national non-profit organization, and served two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural El Salvador. He received his BA in international relations from Macalester College and his MA in international relations and economics from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Michael is fluent in Spanish.
