Mark McDermott

Mark McDermott is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Senior Operations Manager at Laurentis Energy Partners, supporting nuclear customers in New Brunswick since June 2024. Prior to this role, Mark has held various key positions, including President at Cappella Development and Property Management since December 2017, and Turbine Subject Matter Expert at Sunny Corner Enterprises Inc. from April 2023 to May 2024. Mark's long tenure at Énergie NB Power from October 1997 to April 2023 encompassed roles such as Technical Advisor, where responsibilities included supporting life cycle management plans for secondary side equipment and mentoring for balance of plant systems at the Pt. Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station. Mark also supervised engineering teams and worked in mechanical and civil design.
