Lavelle School for the Blind
Bob Devereux is an experienced technology professional with a background in software engineering and leadership. Currently serving as Co-Founder of WindChime App since April 2024, Devereux has contributed significantly to various organizations, including a longstanding role on the Board of Trustees at Lavelle School for the Blind since March 2014. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Amazon from December 2016 to March 2024, and as a Technical Lead/Principal Engineer at ZocDoc from December 2012 to December 2016. Devereux began a career in technology at Capital IQ, where a tenure as Software Architect spanned over twelve years from July 2000 to December 2012. An alumnus of Cornell University, Devereux holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research, earned between 1996 and 2000.

Lavelle School for the Blind
Lavelle School for the Blind is a multi-cultural educational institution established in 1904. The Organization integrates students who are blind and have multiple disabilities, staff and parents in a challenging yet nurturing environment. The Programs at Lavelle seek to educate the whole child through a combination of developmental and functional strategies. As the student progresses, the curriculum accommodates individual changing needs and educational growth. All students are prepared for lives as respected adults. Lavelle School develops all students to their fullest potential and support and resources to the students and their parents. LSB provides a comprehensive, educational experience grounded in a dynamic, individualized program within an inclusive, diverse community for students with visual impairments and varying additional disabilities. The school’s objective is to foster student development of discovery, creativity and potential, while striving toward the building of opportunity & independence.
