Vishal Menon

Senior Scientist at Laverock Therapeutics

Vishal Menon's work experience began in 2012 as a Project Trainee at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine. Vishal then became a Junior Research Fellow at the same institute in 2013. In 2014, they joined the SGBM Spemann Graduate School of Biology and Medicine as a Doctoral Student, studying comprehensive analysis of cell surface antigens in the human neural lineage. During this time, they also worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau, focusing on neural cancer heterogeneity and cell surface protein expression. In 2018, Vishal Menon became a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge. Vishal is currently working as a Scientist at Laverock Therapeutics since 2022.

Vishal Menon has an extensive education history in the biological sciences. Vishal completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences at The University of Freiburg from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a post-graduation program, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Medical Biotechnology from the School of Life Sciences, Manipal, from 2011 to 2013. Vishal'sbachelor's degree, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology, was also obtained from the School of Life Sciences, Manipal, where they studied from 2008 to 2011.

In addition to their educational achievements, Vishal Menon has obtained a certification in Home Office Personal Licensee Training (PIL) ABF: Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. Vishal acquired this certification from the UK Home Office in March 2019.
