Kieran Pender is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as Acting Legal Director and Associate Legal Director in the Democratic Freedoms Unit at the Human Rights Law Centre since November 2020. Additionally, Kieran serves as an Acting Legal Director and Honorary Senior Lecturer at ANU College of Law, teaching various legal subjects including constitutional law. Kieran has a strong freelance writing background, contributing to notable publications such as The Guardian and The New York Times since May 2010.
