Jorge Casas Cuellar is an experienced advocate and committee member dedicated to race equity and inclusion, currently contributing as a Race Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee Member at the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley since May 2021. In this role, Jorge leads efforts to promote equity initiatives within the organization and collaborates with management to fulfill REI objectives. Additionally, Jorge serves as a Community Housing Advocate, providing education to tenants regarding their rights and assessing clients for legal representation. Previously, Jorge led the Community Health and Business Engagement Team at Working Partnerships USA during the COVID-19 pandemic and worked for the City of San José as a Council Aide, focusing on transportation and housing issues. Jorge's background includes extensive experience in retail management at Whole Foods Market, where roles included Produce Department Supervisor and team trainer. Jorge is currently pursuing a degree at San Jose State University, having previously earned associate degrees in Social and Behavioral Science and Political Science.
