Diane McGiffen

Diane McGiffen has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Diane is currently the Chief Executive of The Law Society of Scotland. Before that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Audit Scotland, where they managed corporate support functions and provided advice on policy and legislation. Prior to that, they worked at the Accounts Commission for Scotland as a Senior Manager/Manager. Diane also held the position of Deputy Chief Executive/Social Policy Manager at Wester Hailes Partnership, where they led the social policy strategy and worked with diverse stakeholders to promote urban regeneration and address social issues.

Diane McGiffen completed a Research Doctorate in Public sector workforce in Scotland at Cranfield School of Management from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Social and Public Policy from The University of Edinburgh. Diane also holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Glasgow.
