Andrew W.

Andrew W. has extensive work experience in the field of public health, health policy, and health services research. Andrew is currently serving as the Population Health Director at Lawndale Christian Health Center since 2021. Prior to this, Andrew worked as a Doctoral Research Associate in Health Policy and Health Services Research at Northwestern University from 2020. From 2015 to 2020, they held the position of Predoctoral Research Associate in Public Health at Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine, where they focused on areas such as access to care, health equity, health disparities, social determinants of health, and implementation science. During this time, they also provided consultation for the US Department of Health and Human Services and US Census. Before joining Northwestern University, Andrew worked as a Senior Practice Manager/Department Administrator at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System from 2012 to 2015. Andrew also served as a Projects Manager at Philadelphia VA Medical Center from 2010 to 2012 and as a Research Associate Consultant at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2010. Andrew gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Columbia University from 2008 to 2010 and as a Research Coordinator at Tufts Medical Center in 2007. Andrew started their career as a Research Assistant at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in 2006. In 2009, Andrew briefly worked as a Policy Analyst at the Executive Office of Health and Human Services of Massachusetts. Throughout their career, Andrew has contributed to various areas of public health and healthcare research, demonstrating their expertise and dedication to the field.

Andrew W. completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology and Law and Society at Cornell University. Following this, they pursued a Master of Public Health degree with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management at Columbia University from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, they obtained the Certified in Public Health certification from NHPBE. Later, Andrew attended The Wharton School from 2011 to 2014 to complete coursework towards an MBA, with a specialization in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. In 2012, they earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from Purdue University. Lastly, Andrew completed their education journey at Northwestern University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Public Health with a specialization in Health Services Research from 2015 to 2020.
