Lawndale Elementary School District
Lauren Romero-Bush is an experienced education professional currently serving as a Math TOSA for the Lawndale Elementary School District since August 2018, where responsibilities include developing professional development programs for TK-5th grade teachers, coaching in mathematics instruction, and overseeing data analysis for student performance. Prior to this role, Lauren worked at Whittier College from June 2002 to May 2022 as a Lead Demonstration Teacher and adjunct professor in Child Development. Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development, both obtained from Whittier College.
Lawndale Elementary School District
The Lawndale Elementary School District was established in 1906 with one teacher and 20 students. Since then, the District has blossomed to more than 4,700 students and more than 800 teachers and staff. Lawndale Elementary School District serves students from preschool through grade eight. There are now eight schools in the District. Six elementary schools serve Kindergarten through 5th grade: William Anderson, William Green, Billy Mitchell, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lucille J. Smith, and Mark Twain. Jane Addams Middle School and Will Rogers Middle School serve students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
