Nathan McCall is currently serving as an Academic Graduate Appointee in the Biosciences and Biotechnology Division at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, focusing on advancing research in algal-bacterial biological systems through various methodologies such as nanosims and metabolic modeling. Prior experience includes working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UCSC's Sison-Mangus Lab, where Nathan assisted with laboratory setup and maintenance, and at the UCSC Coastal Resilience Lab, where Nathan studied the impact of Atrazine and Estrone on the growth rate and microbiome of Montipora Capitata corals. Additionally, Nathan participated in the iGEM Competition as a Research And Development Engineer, contributing to plasmid design and construction. Nathan holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
