Steve Clinning

Steve Clinning has extensive experience in banking and finance law, currently serving as Director at Lawrence Stephens since February 2025. Previously, Steve was a Partner in the Banking & Finance Team at Memery Crystal from August 2023 to February 2025. From September 2000 to July 2023, Steve held multiple leadership roles at Howard Kennedy LLP, including Head of Banking & Real Estate Finance and Head of Banking and Asset Finance, focusing on the banking aspects of a multi-disciplinary Transaction Finance Group. Steve also served as Partner in the Commercial Finance and Banking Groups at Howard Kennedy, specializing in financing healthcare, investment, overseas property, and corporate acquisitions. Earlier in the career, Steve was a Securities Manager at KBC Bank NV and a Customer Services Manager at Burton Group Financial Services. Education includes a CPE in Law from the College of Law, Guildford, and a BA (Hons) in Public Administration from Sheffield Hallam University.
