Cathy Phillips

Cathy Phillips is the current Reference Librarian and Head of Technical Services at Lawrence Technological University. Cathy has over four years of experience in business building and regional executive leading at one of the world's top global custodian and leading Canadian provider of pension, fund administration, investment counselor and treasury services. In their previous position, they were responsible for the execution of organizational and enterprise strategy for all of Western Canada, including relationship management and oversight of client service delivery for a strategic client base. Cathy also led a regional team of 5 Relationship Directors and was responsible for recruitment, staffing, talent management, coaching, and career development for the regional employee base. Cathy is known for their ability to deliver knowledge across regulatory, product, and economic developments by leveraging the expertise of industry thought leaders and organizational intellectual capital. Cathy is also known for their ability to ensure that servicing solutions remain agile and competitive by providing client insights to inform continual enhancement of product functionality and identification of future trends to business heads.

Cathy Phillips has a certification in Human Resources Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Cathy also has a Certification from CPHR BC & Yukon in CPHR.

They are on a team with Sheila Gaddie - Reference Librarian, Sherry Tuffin - Library Book Reviewer, and Mary Alice Power - Reference Librarian. Cathy Phillips reports to Gary Cocozzoli, Director, Library.
