Shaun Plant

Shaun Plant has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shaun began their career as a Project Manager at Datel Technology Ltd in 1998 and later worked as a Research and Development Manager at Forlong & Maisey until 2004. Shaun then joined Carson Group Limited as a Project Manager before transitioning to Waikato Regional Council as a Senior Project Manager in 2006.

In 2008, Shaun became the Director of Nexus Project Management Ltd, where they continued to excel in their project management skills. Shaun further expanded their expertise by joining Tompkins Wake as a Solicitor in 2009.

Shaun's interest in law led him to work as the Senior In-house Counsel at Waikato Regional Council from 2012 to 2015. During this time, they also held the role of Legal Services Lead. In 2013, Shaun worked as a Trainer in Legal Project Management at The College of Law New Zealand.

Shaun's journey in the legal field continued as they became the Director at Nexus Law in 2016, specializing in Environmental and Resource Management Law, Local Government, and Public Law. Shaun then joined LawVu in 2015, where they started as the Chief Legal Evangelist and eventually became the InView Community Evangelist.

Shaun Plant has a diverse education history. In 1995-1996, they pursued an MSc degree in Project Management from Lancaster University. Following that, from 2003 to 2008, Shaun studied at The University of Waikato, where they obtained an LLB degree in Law. In 1991-1993, they attended Liverpool John Moores University, where they completed a HDip in Mechanical Engineering. Shaun also holds a certification as a LEADR Accredited Mediator, although the specific institution and dates are unspecified. Additionally, in November 2022, they acquired the Connected Legal Certification - Final Certification from LawVu.
