Visnja Jovanovic

Visnja Jovanovic is a Claims Counsel at LAWPRO since May 2023, with prior experience as a Litigation Lawyer at Moodie Mair Walker LLP from April 2019 to May 2023 and at Blaney McMurtry LLP from September 2013 to March 2019. The litigation practice focuses on professional negligence, defense of public authorities, personal injury, and institutional abuse claims, with growing expertise in defending health professionals, lawyers, property appraisers, and financial advisors, as well as handling complex jurisdictional disputes and class actions. Visnja's career began with an articling position at Blaney McMurtry LLP and includes internships with the Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel in the Senate and the Canadian International Development Agency. Education includes a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in International Relations from Carleton University, and a graduate exchange program at Freie Universität Berlin, among others.
