Anson Wong

Machine Learning Research Scientist at Layer 6

Anson Wong has a strong and diverse work experience in the field of research and machine learning. Anson started their career as a NSERC University Summer Research Assistant in 2009 and 2010, where they conducted investigations on dark matter halo properties and quantum corrections in anisotropic pyrochlores. Anson then worked as a NSERC University Summer Research Assistant in 2011, exploring phase transitions in 5-dimensional Eguchi-Hanson soliton.

In 2012, Anson joined The University of British Columbia as a Graduate Student, applying holography to model large-N strongly-coupled dual systems and studying holographic entanglement entropies. During their time at the university, they also served as a Teaching Assistant.

Anson's professional journey continued at Q.I. Leap Analytics Inc. in 2017, where they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, contributing to machine learning projects. Anson then moved to Stradigi AI, where they took on the role of a Research Scientist and Data Scientist, working extensively in the field of research.

Most recently, Anson joined Layer 6 AI in 2018 as a Machine Learning Research Scientist. With their strong background and experience, Anson has developed expertise in various areas of research and machine learning, making him a valuable asset to any organization.

Anson Wong received a BSc in Mathematical Physics with a minor in Pure Math from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Anson then pursued further education at The University of British Columbia, obtaining an MSc in Physics from 2012 to 2014. Anson continued their studies at The University of British Columbia, completing a PhD in Physics from 2014 to 2016.
