Keyvan Golestan

Keyvan Golestan has extensive work experience in the field of machine learning and software engineering. Keyvan began their career as a Web Developer and Software Engineer at Rah Avard Amir Kabir Engineering Company (RAAK) in 2007 and continued in the role until December 2010. From 2010 to 2011, they served as a Teacher Assistant at the University of Tehran. Keyvan then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo from 2011 to 2015, where they focused on research in intelligent transportation systems, specifically road safety. During this time, they also served as a Teacher Assistant from January 2012 to August 2015. In 2012, they worked as a Web Developer and Software Engineer at Vestec, Inc. Keyvan joined IBM in September 2015 as a Staff Software Engineer and contributed until October 2016. Keyvan then joined Huawei Technologies as a Machine Learning Research Engineer from November 2016 to January 2019. Since 2019, they have held multiple roles at both Layer 6 AI and TD, where they have worked as both a Machine Learning Scientist and a Senior Machine Learning Scientist.

Keyvan Golestan completed their education in a chronological order. Keyvan first earned their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, studying from 2003 to 2008. Keyvan then pursued a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Tehran from 2008 to 2011. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Information Fusion and Knowledge Representation from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 2011 to 2015.
