Noël Vouitsis has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and research. They started their career as a Technical Support Analyst at Toyota Canada Inc. in 2016. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto, where they developed and trained a vehicle detection neural network for the city of Newmarket's smart city initiative program and received the Admissions Research Award. From 2018 to 2019, Noël worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Swish Labs, where they led the development of a generative chatbot for the hotel service industry and developed a driver's license information extraction tool. Currently, Noël is working as a Machine Learning Scientist at Layer 6 AI, where they are engaged in research on text-vision generation and text-vision representation learning for video retrieval, resulting in a paper publication at ICML'23.
Noël Vouitsis completed a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto from 2015 to 2020. They then pursued a Master of Science in Applied Computing degree, specializing in Computer Science, at the University of Toronto from 2020 to 2021.
