Kor Kajanaku has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. In 2015, they co-founded Farewill and served as the Chief Design Officer until 2016. They then went on to work at companies like BlackRock, Ford Motor Company, and Mark43 in design roles. In 2018, they joined Pinterest as a designer and stayed until 2021. During this time, they also briefly worked at Ford Motor Company and Mark43. In 2021, they worked as an advisor at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and as a Senior Design Lead at IDEO until 2022. Currently, Kor Kajanaku is the co-founder and CEO of Layer. Additionally, they are a Fellow at The RSA (The royal society for arts, manufactures and commerce) starting from 2020.
Kor Kajanaku completed an MA in Global Innovation Design at the Royal College of Art from 2013 to 2015. During the same period, Kor also earned an MSc in Design Engineering at Imperial College London. Additionally, Kor attended Keio University in 2014, where they pursued the GID Tokyo program. In 2013, Kor was enrolled in the GID New York program at Pratt Institute. Before all these postgraduate studies, Kor had obtained a BSc in Product Design from the University of the Arts London.
