Aziz Nayani

Aziz Nayani is an accomplished communications professional currently serving as the Director and North America Head of Communications at Lazard Asset Management since February 2023. Prior to this role, Aziz held the position of Vice President of Corporate Affairs at BlackRock, where responsibilities included leading communications related to financial matters, M&A, crisis situations, and public policy. Aziz’s experience also encompasses serving as an Associate at Brunswick Group, advising Fortune 500 and emerging companies on stakeholder engagement during critical issues, as well as contributing to political campaign communications for Clyde Williams for Congress. Additional roles include a consultant position with the United Nations’ Department of Political Affairs, and work as a contributor for various publications such as The Atlantic, Foreign Policy, and Huffington Post. Aziz holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Emory University.
