Angkeara Svay

Angkeara SVAY, PhD has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Starting in 2012, they interned at EDF as a Structural Mechanics intern. In 2013, they continued their internships at IFSTTAR and EDF, focusing on Structural Mechanics and Earthquake/Geotechnical Engineering. From 2013 to 2017, Angkeara worked as an Engineer for Research & Development at EDF. They then joined TERRASOL as a Design & Development Engineer from 2017 to 2019. After that, they worked at Eiffage Génie Civil as a Project Responsible Person. In 2020, they became the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at LBL INTERNATIONAL. Currently, Angkeara is the Co-Founder and Technical & Engineering Director at Wise starting from September 2023.

Angkeara SVAY, PhD has a diverse educational background in engineering, materials science, and geodynamics. In 2007, they began their academic journey at the Institut de Technologie du Cambodge, where they studied engineering sciences with a focus on mathematics and physics. They graduated from this institution in 2009.

Building upon their foundation in engineering, Angkeara then pursued a degree in Materials Science and Mechanics at École Polytechnique from 2009 to 2012. During this time, they obtained a Diplôme d'Ingénieur Polytechnicien, Grade du Master.

Following their time at École Polytechnique, Angkeara SVAY enrolled at CentraleSupélec from 2013 to 2016. Here, they embarked on a journey in geodynamics and structures, culminating in their successful completion of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.

Between their studies at École Polytechnique and CentraleSupélec, Angkeara also attended Ecole des Ponts ParisTech from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a Diplôme d’Ingénieur & Master of Engineering degree focused on Materials Sciences and Civil Engineering.
