Evan McVey, MFin. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Evan began their career as part of the PLC (Platoon Leadership Class) for Rhode Island in the United States Marine Corps, where they aspired to become a Fighter Pilot. However, due to an injury sustained during training, they were honorably discharged.

Following their military service, Evan joined EMC as an Associate Financial Analyst in 2010. Evan provided support for VILT (Video Instructor Led Training) projects, managing monthly spend and providing forecasting metrics to middle management. Evan then progressed to the role of Financial Analyst, where they reported on $1.5B worth of sales revenue for the Mid Atlantic South, Enterprise Sales Division. Evan constructed financial and operational models using VBA to provide FP&A for daily, weekly, and quarterly executive summaries. In 2014, they were promoted to Senior Financial Analyst, co-managing VCE Solution's operational & capital expenditure P&L and 450 headcount plan. Evan also created and maintained financial models for cadence and ad hoc reporting.

In 2016, Evan joined Fidelis Capital Management as an Equity Research Analyst, where they worked until 2021.

In 2021, Evan moved to Landos Biopharma as the Director of Financial Reporting, utilizing the company's LANCE Advanced A.I. platform to develop novel oral therapeutics for autoimmune diseases. Evan joined Encoded Therapeutics in 2021 and served as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, developing FP&A frameworks, leading budget planning, and conducting variance analysis. Evan was recently promoted to the role of Vice President of Finance at LCG Advisors.

Evan McVey, MFin, earned a BA in Philosophy, Business Management, and Psychology from Roger Williams University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Evan later pursued a Masters of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies with a focus on Finance at Harvard University, from 2014 to 2016.
