Brian Chu

Brian Chu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Brian is currently the Regional Director of Finance at OTH Hotels Resorts, where they have held the position since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Complex Director of Finance at the same company from July 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining OTH Hotels Resorts, Brian held various senior finance positions. Brian was the Senior Director of Finance at The Gabriel Miami, Curio Collection by Hilton from February 2020 to July 2020, and at Costa Hollywood Beach Resort and Evolution Hospitality from January 2018 to July 2020.

Before their roles in the hospitality industry, Brian gained significant experience as a Senior Corporate Accountant at WHM LLC from 2001 to 2017. Brian was responsible for managing a multi-ownership accounting portfolio and preparing operating budgets for Blackstone-owned hotel portfolios.

Earlier in their career, Brian worked as the Assistant Director of Finance at Boca Raton Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort from 2004 to 2005 and at Radisson Bahia Mar Beach Rsrt from 2001 to 2004. In these roles, they demonstrated strong leadership skills and implemented cost-saving measures.

Brian's work experience also includes a previous role as the President of Diversified Merchant Resources, Inc. Here, they oversaw daily operations and managed relationships with customers and vendors. Brian successfully led a Y2K project for a large merchant processing company.

Overall, Brian Chu has a wealth of experience in finance and hospitality, with a proven track record of achieving results and implementing effective strategies.

Brian Chu attended Michigan State University from 1987 to 1989, where they studied Hospitality. Brian then transferred to Florida International University from 1989 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality. Later, from 2002 to 2005, Brian attended Florida Atlantic University and studied Accounting.
