Steven Anderson

Vice President, East Region at LCMS Northern Illinois District

Steven Anderson has a strong background in pastoral work, with extensive experience in various roles within the Lutheran Church. Steven has served as a Pastor at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Chicago since 2003, where they are responsible for preaching, teaching, administering sacraments, and providing pastoral care. Additionally, they serve as the regional Vice-President for the City of Chicago and nearby suburbs for the Northern Illinois District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Prior to their current position, Steven was a Pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church from 1999 to 2003. Steven will also be starting a new role as a Pastor at Hope Lutheran Church in 2022. In 2015, they held roles as the Vice President of the East Region and Circuit Visitor at the Northern Illinois District - LCMS.

Steven Anderson received a Bachelor's degree in Art/Art Studies, General from Columbia College Chicago, where they attended from 1988 to 1992. Steven then pursued a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Concordia Seminary St Louis, completing the program from 1995 to 1999.
