Jason Frischer

Jason Frischer currently serves as the Surgeon-in-Chief at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and as a Professor and Chief of Pediatric Surgery at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center since November 2025. Prior to these roles, Jason held positions at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from August 2008 to October 2025, where responsibilities included Associate Director of the Division of Pediatric Surgery and Director of both the Colorectal Center and the ECMO Program. Jason also served as a Professor of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine during the same period. Earlier in the career, Jason completed a Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center and residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Academic qualifications include an MD from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and a BS from Cornell University. Jason has pursued additional professional education at Harvard Medical School from 2022 to 2023.
