Julia Hountou

Julia Hountou is a distinguished art historian and curator, currently serving as the exhibition commissioner and curator at FDDM - Fondation pour le développement durable des régions de montagne since September 2015. In addition, Julia has been an art critic for Le Nouvelliste since January 2014 and has contributed to various platforms, including Exporevue, Visuelimage.com, and publications linked with the museums of Strasbourg and ENSB-a Paris. As an independent curator since 2010, Julia has organized numerous exhibitions in photography and contemporary art, showcasing a commitment to the field. Julia's academic credentials include a post-doctorate in art history from Villa Médicis in Rome and a doctoral thesis from Université Paris-Sorbonne. Notable recent projects include “LES ANNÉES FAUVES” at Fondation Pierre Gianadda in collaboration with the Musée d'Art moderne de Paris, highlighting expertise in curatorial practice.
