Michael van den Berg

Michael van den Berg is the current General Counsel at Le Tote. Prior to this, they worked as a Corporate/M&A associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz from September 2015 to December 2019. Michael has significant experience in technology and private M&A, as well as the public capital markets.

Some of the deals Michael has led include the $2.1B take-private of a technology company (IT solutions provider), the $250M IPO of the same technology company, and multiple offerings of over $1.5B of exchangeable notes for a leading internet / media company. In each of these deals, Michael played a key role in negotiating key transaction agreements, managing the closing process, and advising senior management and the board of directors on key issues.

Since 2015, Michael has also been working closely with in-house counsel at the same technology company, advising on corporate governance issues, reviewing securities filings, and leading secondary stock sales in the public capital markets.

Michael van den Berg earned their Doctor of Law from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. Michael's field of study was law.
