João Viana

João Viana's work experience starts in 2015 with an engineering internship at The Inventors, where they gained experience in electrical circuits design and Arduino. In 2017, João began working as a freelance Ruby on Rails developer while also taking on the role of Lead Teacher at Le Wagon, a well-regarded web development bootcamp. At Le Wagon, they taught various topics including Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and machine learning. João also served as a Data Science Bootcamp Manager and worked as a software engineer. In 2022, João joined SureSwift Capital as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and developed a high-performance Shopify app. João then joined zero44 as a Software Engineer, where their main responsibility is developing AI-based digital tools focused on reducing the traditional shipping industry's carbon footprint. Throughout their various roles, João has demonstrated a strong technical aptitude and an ability to effectively teach and develop engaging learning experiences.

João Viana obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa in 2018. Prior to that, they completed a FullStack Developer course at Le Wagon in 2016 and a Web & Mobile Development program at FLAG in 2013-2014. In 2011-2012, they received a certification in C Programming Language from Alta Lógica. Additionally, they hold certifications in Pedagogical Skills from IEFP, obtained in 2019, and in Web & Mobile Development from FLAG, obtained in 2013, as well as a certification in C Programming from Alta Lógica, obtained in 2011.
