Bal Dhital is an experienced professional with a diverse background in healthcare and social entrepreneurship. As the Industry Engagement Manager and Program Manager for the Lead Exposure Elimination Project since November 2022, Bal Dhital plays a critical role in advocating for lead paint regulation to combat lead poisoning and enhance children's wellbeing globally. Prior to this, Bal Dhital founded Borne Clothing, a social enterprise dedicated to creating sustainable mosquito-repellent clothing while funding efforts against mosquito-borne diseases. Bal Dhital's medical experience includes serving as a Resident Medical Officer and Assistant in Medicine at Hunter New England Local Health District, providing comprehensive patient care in multi-disciplinary teams. Bal Dhital holds a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle and additional qualifications in Space Studies and Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Paediatrics from the University of South Australia and University of Oslo, respectively.
