LEAD Public Schools
Ryan MacDonald, EdS, is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Assistant Principal of Students and Grade Level Chair at LEAD Public Schools since July 2017. Responsibilities include designing onboarding programs for new students, managing school-wide events, and creating staff mentoring programs to enhance retention. Previously, Ryan taught 5th grade math, instructed over 325 students, and contributed to curriculum development. Experience also encompasses roles as a Content Facilitator and Leadership Coach with Teach For America, where Ryan delivered impactful training and coaching. Additional positions include Academic Mentor at Pepperdine University and Second Grade Teacher at Sunflower County Consolidated School District, where student performance significantly improved under Ryan's guidance. Educational qualifications include an EdS in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University, an MPP from Pepperdine University, and a BA in Political Science from Hope College.

LEAD Public Schools is a Nashville-born Charter Management Organization that operated both "fresh-start" charter schools (LEAD Academy, LEAD Southeast Middle and LEAD Southeast High) and zoned turnaround charter schools (LEAD Brick Church, LEAD Cameron and LEAD Neely's Bend).
