Joi J. Taylor

Joi J. Taylor is an accomplished professional dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities and community engagement in Memphis. As the Choose901 Alumni Director at City Leadership since May 2017, Joi has connected 1,100 students to valuable opportunities and analyzed data for partner schools. Joi also serves as an Advisory Board Member at Leaders Credit Union, providing insights for equitable decision-making. As the founder of The Joi of Knowledge scholarship, Joi supports minority girls seeking higher education. Previous roles include advocating for equal education as a Future Leaders Fellow with the American Federation for Children and consulting on diversity initiatives at Volunteer Odyssey. Joi began a career in social work as an Intake Counselor at The Hospitality Hub and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from The University of Memphis.
