Lucero Grimaldo

Lucero Grimaldo is a medical student at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center since July 2023, following a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience-Molecular Cell Biology from Texas A&M University, completed in 2023. Lucero has served as a Career Fellow at the Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America since August 2020 and has experience as a Peer Mentor for first-year biology students at Texas A&M University from August 2020 to December 2022. Additional roles include volunteering at CHI St. Joseph's Health and Houston Methodist, where assistance was provided at COVID-19 vaccination sites and in the CVICU, as well as participation in the UT Southwestern Medical Center's Retention and Success Symposium. Furthermore, a summer internship took place at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine in 2021, and volunteer work was completed with The 12th Can from October 2019 to May 2020.
