Lauri Tabur has a diverse range of work experience. Lauri is the founder and CEO of SmartGrow Leadership Solutions, which specializes in assisting government organizations with their challenges. Lauri has also worked as an executive consultant at the Leadership Pipeline Institute, supporting organizations in building internal pipelines of qualified leaders. Additionally, they have served as a public administration and law enforcement reform expert at the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV). Lauri has also worked as a columnist for www.director.ee and as a member of the PR and marketing committee at the Rotary Club Prishtina International RCPI. Lauri has been a change management consultant at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and an advisor at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety. Previously, Lauri held the position of rector at the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences and chief strategy officer at the Estonian Ministry of the Interior. Lauri also served as the deputy national police commissioner for the Estonian Police.
Lauri Tabur obtained a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from the Estonian National Defence and Public Service Academy from 1994 to 1998. Later, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration Management from Tallinn University of Technology. In terms of additional certifications, Lauri achieved various qualifications such as "Resilience Strategies for Optimal Performance," "Systems Thinking," "Visual Storytelling in PowerPoint," "A Design Thinking Approach to Putting the Customer First," "Change Management: Roadmap to Execution," "Humane Productivity," "Learning Design Thinking," and "People Analytics" from LinkedIn, with some obtained in January and February of 2022. Additionally, they completed the "LPI Certified Leading Leaders Program Facilitator" from the Leadership Pipeline Institute in August 2021 and the "LPI Certified Leading Others Program Facilitator" in April 2021. Moreover, Lauri received an "ESDP Orientation Course" certification from the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) in March 2020. Prior to that, they acquired the "Everything DiSC®" qualification from Wiley in August 2019. Other certifications include "Cert Prep: Certified Scrum Master," "360-Degree Feedback," "Coaching Skills Certificate" from the AoEC - The Academy of Executive Coaching, "Inclusive Leadership," "Leading Change," "Managing Organizational Change for Managers," "Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers," and "Creating a Culture of Change," all obtained from LinkedIn, with dates ranging from February to March 2019.
