Rosa Chavarria

Network Eld Teacher on Special Assignment at Leadership Public Schools

Mrs. Rosa Chavarria began her teaching career in West Contra Costa Unified School District teaching in the same schools she attended as a child. She has been an educator for more than 20 years and is especially passionate about supporting Language Learners.

Prior to joining Richmond LPS, she was a founding teacher of Making Waves Academy and also worked in Berkeley Unified School District. Mrs. Chavarria is a First-Generation college graduate from Holy Names University where she earned both a BA in Liberal Arts Studies and Spanish. She also has a Masters in Education from the American College of Education.
