Jane Nugent

Jane Nugent, Ed.D., has extensive experience in education and community development, currently serving as an Advisor to Leadership in Action Projects at Leadership Rhode Island since November 2009. Previously, Jane was the Senior Vice President at United Way of Rhode Island from January 1988 to June 2009, where responsibilities included grants management for employment and training initiatives, volunteer management, and project design. Jane also held roles as a Project Manager at Health Systems Association, overseeing community health projects, and as a Project Researcher at Memorial Hospital, focusing on health projects in faith-based settings. Academic credentials include a Doctorate in Education and a Master’s in Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, as well as a Bachelor's in Education from Bridgewater State University.
