Andrea Fitzgerald

Andrea Fitzgerald is an experienced instructional leadership coach specializing in mathematics, currently working at Leading Educators since September 2021. In addition to this role, Andrea owns Dope, Black & Mathletic, which aims to change perceptions of Black mathematicians and math educators. As an author of The Rookie's Playbook, Andrea provides practical resources for new teachers to enhance student achievement. Andrea also owns Mental Fitzness, offering strategies to boost the self-efficacy of students, teachers, and leaders. Previous positions include Math Lead at Instruction Partners and Instructional Support Advisor at Shelby County Schools, along with a teaching career in Memphis City Schools. Andrea's educational background includes a Master of Science in Mathematics Teacher Education from Cambridge College and a Master of Science in Sport Management from Slippery Rock University.
