League of Women Voters
Ruth Long has an extensive background in aging services and community engagement. As a volunteer with the League of Women Voters since September 2013, Ruth actively participates in civic activities. Previously, Ruth served as a former commissioner for the Colorado Commission on Aging in Congressional District 2 from September 2010 to June 2020, where responsibilities included representing district needs and reporting on relevant events. Additionally, Ruth chaired the Colorado Commission on Aging from July 2013 to June 2016, overseeing meeting facilitation and event planning. Ruth's career also includes a managerial role at Larimer County's Office on Aging from February 1989 to September 2013. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Counseling from Humboldt State University and a Bachelor's degree in English with a secondary teaching credential from the University of Northern Colorado.
