Danita Lyle has a diverse work experience in the education field. Danita started their career as a K4 and K5 Teacher at the Refuge of Hope Institute of Learning in 1988, where they worked until 2004. In 2005, they joined the Newark Preschool Council as an Assistant Teacher and then transitioned into a Teacher role from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Preschool Teacher at the Childhood Development Institute. In 2016, they became self-employed and took on the role of Head Teacher.

Danita Lyle's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from New Jersey City University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, they attended Essex County College and earned an Associate's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching. Moreover, Danita has obtained several certifications, including "Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED" from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in October 2016. In 2014, they received the "P-3 Standard Certificate of NJ" and the "Teacher of Students with Disabilities Standard" from the State of New Jersey. Lastly, in 1981, Danita completed a program in Executive Secretarial Studies at the Robert Walsh School of Business.
