Daniel Weyermann is a Program Coordinator and Head of the Teacher Training Program for Upper Secondary Schools at the University of Zurich since April 2020. Prior to this role, Daniel served as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter for the Eidgenössisches Departement für Wirtschaft, Bildung und Forschung WBF, focusing on strategic-political issues related to civilian service in Switzerland from August 2016 to March 2020. Daniel's teaching experience includes six years at the European Schooling Helsinki, instructing secondary-level students in philosophy, history, and economics, as well as mentoring student teachers. Daniel completed a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Turku, with a thesis titled "Political Legitimacy and Ethnocultural Justice," and participated in research on humanitarian action for the European Union. Additionally, Daniel taught history and languages at Deutsche Schule Helsinki from January 2010 to June 2013. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Social Sciences from the University of Turku, a Teaching Degree for Upper-Secondary Schools from Pädagogische Hochschule Bern, and a Master of Arts in Philosophy and History from the University of Bern.
