Joaquina Mascarenhas

Joaquina Mascarenhas serves as the Director of Upstream Process Development and Manufacturing at Leap Therapeutics since April 2022, previously holding the position of Associate Director in the same department. Prior to this role, Joaquina worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as Manager of Cell Culture Process Development, where responsibilities included developing and characterizing mammalian cell lines for recombinant protein manufacture. Joaquina's experience also encompasses a significant tenure at MilliporeSigma as Team Lead and Senior Research Scientist, focusing on developing next-generation expression systems for therapeutic proteins and vaccines. Earlier, Joaquina served as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Wyeth Biotech, concentrating on the establishment of high-producing CHO cell lines for therapeutic protein production. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Illinois Chicago and an M.Pharm in Pharmacy from Gujarat University.
